Velvet is a true daughter of Victor's Vaccoyo, well known full Accoyo sire who consistently transmitted his phenomenal fleece characteristics of deep bold crimp and extreme density to his offspring. Velvet has that - unbelievable density and good staple length, even at her age. However, lacking in fineness. She is very easy to handle (our 10 year old son holds her w/o a halter when we clip toe nails).
To offset this, Velvet was bred to multi-champion Michelangelo's Awakening, an El Nino grandson, for a late 2019 cria. As a 5 year old "working" male, his fleece is extremely soft. Awakening's crias are bringing home BLUE, PURPLE, and ORANGE ribbons.
Velvet delivered a super curly, super energetic dark fawn boy (Velluto) August 2019. Might be our best one of 2019.
Velvet + Awakening did not disappoint again. A large, white girl (Vanellope) born end of May 2021.
Velvet comes with a breeding. Go with Awakening again or try Campion (he has fiber diameter EPD in the top 1%!!). Or, maybe try for black with Rappa?
